Rideau Carleton Raceway hosts year-round live standardbred
harness horse racing. We also offer Teletheatre wagering
on simulcast racing, harness and thoroughbred, from across Canada and around the world.
We present Live racing every Thursday, Friday & Sunday;
post time each evening is 6:30pm.
This year we are hosting the Capital Hoedown 2010; country music festival so we are postponing Thursday August 5th and Friday 6th racing to the following 2 Mondays, August 9th and 16th at 6:30pm.
August just became the new July! We now have live racing Monday August 2nd, 9th and 16th at 6:30pm; perfect for the patio!
Once again we are holding a 2nd Chance promotion and this time it is a 3-day VIP pass to the Capital Hoedown 2010; country music festival; if you haven't seen the poster, check it out below for details as well as the rules and regs.
The Coville Cup will again be up for contention on Sunday August 1st as the NCRHHA present the Night of Champions, a fundraiser for the Sheperds of Good Hope; See poster below.

The Montreal Rideau Express runs every Sunday from Montreal to Rideau Carleton Raceway getting you here in time to enjoy the live racing and taking back at the end of the night. The bus ticket includes many extras; see posters below.
Rideau Carleton Raceway is proud to host two significant
stake races each year; both of these stake races attract a significantly higher caliber
of horses. 
The 29th Des Smith Classic Pace, was run on Sunday June 27th, for a $170,000 purse. Jody Jamieson drove
Anderlecht straight to the winner's circle to meet up with his owners from Black Road Stable, Kitchener-Point Zero Seven Racing, Burlington, ON and trainer I. Vrablic.
From post position #6, this 5 year old horse was able to tie the track record with an amazing time of 1:49.3.

The 45th Frank Ryan Memorial Trot, named for one of the founding members and driving forces behind the construction of Rideau Carleton Raceway, was called to the post on Sunday September 6th for an purse of $161,750.00.
It was Ziegler Hanover, in the care and hands of the Baillargeon brothers who took the Winners share of the pot in 1:54.
The Tara Hills 46th Frank Ryan Memorial Trot

Ontario Sires Stakes are as important to Rideau Carleton Raceway as they are to the the harness racing industry a a whole. With this in mind we take pleaure in hosting OSS races through the season. See calendar below.
Shuttle Service
For your convenience a shuttle service is available from the Greenboro transit station to Rideau Carleton Raceway, compliments of OLG SLOTS. It runs every hour on the half hour from Greenboro to the facility from 8:30am to 12:30am and returns from Rideau Carleton Raceway to the transit station every hour on the hour from 9am to 1am.
